COVID-19 Grant Programs
Across the country, community foundations worked hard to provide COVID-19 specific programming and measures to help support those impacted by the virus. The following grant programs supported organizations making a difference in our community:
Community Services Recovery Fund

The Community Services Recovery Fund was a $400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support non-profit organizations, Indigenous Governing Bodies and Registered Charities as they focus on how to adapt their organizations for pandemic recovery.
We were pleased to partner with Community Foundations of Canada, Canadian Red Cross, and United Way Centraide Canada in 2023 to distribute funding to community service organizations to help them modernize their organization's operations.
COVID-19 Emergency Community Support Fund

We were pleased that we were able to work with Community Foundations of Canada in 2021 to flow $105,000 from the Government of Canada to charitable organizations serving populations experiencing increased vulnerability in our communities during the pandemic.

COVID-19 Community Response Grants

The Community Foundation launched the COVID-19 Community Response Grants on April 23, 2020 in partnership with the Municipality of Trent Hills. These grants supported the work of our Trent Hills organizations who were collectively striving to ensure our most vulnerable citizens were safe and healthy during the pandemic.
We awarded a total of $50,000.00 to 11 local organizations ($25,000 was allocated from each of the Community Fund and the Municipal Fund for this grant program).
