The goal of this fund is to promote and support arts & culture in the Campbellford/Seymour area through our grant program.

Grant Funding available: To celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2026, we are offering a total of $2,500 in grant funding. (Accepting applications for funding of $100 to $2,500 - For example, we can approve five $500 grants, or two $1,250 grants, or one $2,500 grant).

 Grant Priorities:

• Build Capacity and Co-operation in the community:
• projects to help to build and enable groups and organizations that want to take action through education, information, partnerships, co-operation, and planning
• projects to develop exemplary arts, culture & heritage programs and services
• projects that advance participation, knowledge, understanding and the appreciation of arts, culture, and heritage for the citizens of Campbellford/Seymour
  
  

Funding Framework:

• Performing Arts:
• Producing and presenting programming, activities and services to the public primarily in the disciplines of dance, theatre and music
• Contributing to public participation, community involvement in performing arts and arts education
• Visual Arts:
• Preserving, interpreting, and presenting works of art
• Creating a context in which artists and their works are viewed in relationship to visual arts, culture and the community at large
• Arts and Culture Service Organizations:
• Membership-based organizations providing services and programming in support of advancing individual or organizational development capacity and promoting an awareness of the arts
• Contributing to community participation, arts education and public involvement in the arts in Campbellford/Seymour
• Heritage Organizations:
• Celebrating Campbellford/Seymour heritage, history and increasing public appreciation and awareness of historical events, people and places through creative and innovative collaboration between historians, archivists, artists and the community.

This goal of this fund is to support recreational projects and programs for children and youth in the Campbellford/Seymour community.

Grant Priorities:

• Broadly based participation in community recreation:
• Healthy and safe physical activity and recreation for children and youth under 18 years of age
• Sport, recreation, fitness, youth leadership, camping & outdoor education, play groups, the arts & cultural activities

• To encourage and support projects that will:
• Focus and dedicate specific resources to foster recreational initiatives
• Provide recreational opportunities to those who would otherwise not have access to them
• Promote the fact that quality recreation is an integral part of a healthy community
• Promote the value of recreation in healthy child development
• Increase the number of children and youth participating in healthy recreation
• Enhance the self-development of individuals
• Promote healthy, active living
• Encourage youth leadership development
• Strengthen social, mental and physical health of children and youth
• To support programs that encourage broad participation in healthy and safe recreation:
• Initiatives that are inclusive and accessible
• Initiatives that have meaningful participation of youth
• Initiatives that develop social and physical skills, improve social, mental & physical health or that foster creativity
• Initiatives that lead to positive experiences
• Initiatives that encourage youth to stay in school
• Initiatives that encourage participation from the diverse community
• Initiatives that encourage voluntarism and that develops leadership

Applications for Environmental Mini Grants should promote and support environmental stewardship and sustainable living in the Campbellford/Seymour area.

• Protecting and Enhancing our environmental assets:
• Natural landscapes: habitat, natural areas, and wildlife, plus the outdoor activities people enjoy in these green spaces
• Water quality: wetlands, shorelines, fish habitat, plus the activities that people enjoy such as fishing, boating, and swimming
• Sustainable Community Lifestyles: Healthy and sustainable lifestyles based on Environmental Diversity: agriculture, recreation, cultural activities
  
  

Funding Framework:

• Green Community - for projects oriented to the values of environmental sustainability:
• reduced energy and chemical use
• environmentally sustainable economic activities, with a focus on agriculture and alternative energy
• economic activities that link local production with local consumption, including farmers markets,
• information and educational materials that provide public information on sustainable choices
• lifestyle options and activities that foster the growth of a green community ethic.
• Watershed Protection - for projects that support efforts to protect water bodies from pollution and other forms of ecological damage:
• support for environmentally-sustainable uses of the area’s water resources and surrounding landscapes
• the promotion of agricultural activities that protect area water bodies
• information and educational materials that provide public information on water quality issues and solutions
• personal lifestyle choices that maintain and enhance local water quality and quantity.
• Landscape Protection - for projects that support efforts to maintain, increase and enhance the amount of land in Campbellford/ Seymour that is protected for environmental purposes:
• parks, conservation areas, natural habitat areas, etc. and public access to such areas
• support for the protection of wildlife populations and habitats especially those with species at risk
• support for efforts to maintain and enhance appropriate access to natural areas for low impact recreation and nature study/ observation activities, and related information and educational materials.
